Our destination for tonight
Darlington Point, was a tiny town on the Murrumbidgee River in NSW. We decided
to stop here as it is a place we had not visited before and sounded
interesting. It was just over 400kms from Mildura so we had a few lovely stops
on the way. We revisited a lovely café in Balranald for coffee before stopping
in Hay for lunch. Here we visited a beautiful free-camp, Sandy Point Reserve.
Fabulous amenities and on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. We’ve noted it
as a good place to stay for future trips. The weather here was superb, although
it was cool you could easily warm up when you stood in the sun. We arrived in
Darlington Point in the afternoon and settled in to the caravan park which is
located on the banks of the very fast flowing Murrumbidgee River. We went into
town and visited a local butcher shop which is quite famous. We finished the
day with a stroll along the banks of the river.
