Monday 18th July Lake Tinaroo, Yungaburra

We both had a very enjoyable morning, with Rob playing 18 holes of golf and me joining him as an observer. He’d hired a cart and I was happy to drive around with him, just watching and helping him track the ball. The day was spectacular, no wind and a cloudless sky. Not only was the course quite pretty, there were resident mobs of kangaroos all over the course. I spent time watching them and some of the beautiful birds that were also on the course. Once golf was completed, we visited a famous continental deli in Mareeba to view the extensive range of goods and produce this shop supplied. We had also found out that this shop was quite famous for its coffee and food so this meant a stop for our morning coffee and we had to sample some of the delicious looking cakes and biscuits that were on offer! From Mareeba to Lake Tinaroo, was only a 30 minute drive. We quickly settled in and we have one of the best sites. It’s approximately 50mt from the water with gum trees in between and we have water on 2 sides to look at. Just perfect really.
