If I was to give today a silly name as I have in previous blogs…..it would be called, “Buggies, Buckets and Beer Blog”. Rob has brought his golf clubs away with him in their bag but didn’t bring a buggy. He decided that he should have as carrying your clubs is somewhat troublesome. The first place he played in, Capella, the club had left a small buggy out for visitors to use so that was good. In Mareeba we hired a golf-cart. While we were in Mareeba we visited 4 charity shops in search of a second hand buggy but to no avail. (We weren’t holding our breaths.) Anyway today we drove into Atherton and after visiting a couple of second hand shops, Rob was in luck, finding a golf buggy at the Animal Welfare shop for the princely sum of $10! He was a happy chappy. He also needed a certain size bucket and so we went on a successful bucket hunt. Luckily Atherton is blessed with 3 “cheap” shops so again he spent a total $4 on 2 bargain buckets! The beer wasn’t quite such a bargain. We did some grocery shopping and then returned to Lake Tinaroo for lunch. I went on another lovely, long kayak. Many lakeside homes that line parts of the lake have the most magnificent gardens and some even have lawns that rival Rob’s! And Rob did chipping practise on the lawns in front of the caravan park.
