Friday 15th July Kuranda

We had a lazy morning, sleeping in a little and taking our time to do a few jobs around the caravan. We weren’t in any hurry as we were heading to the famous Kuranda Markets and they didn’t open until 10AM. We enjoyed wandering through the markets and found a lovely café that sold delicious street food for lunch. Steamed pork bao buns, prawn dumplings, spring rolls and salt and pepper squid were all consumed by us! We were going on a cruise along the Barron River, later in the afternoon and so decided after eating all that food we should go for a walk which is exactly what we did. We found a picturesque walk along the banks of the Barron River and did that before enjoying a very interesting cruise along the Barron River. Our guide was very informative and we saw the magnificent heritage listed rainforest, turtles, large fish and even a freshwater crocodile.
