Monday 8th August Rollingstone

We headed out to the Mystic Golf and community club, only a short drive from our caravan park. The course was a 9 hole course and as we headed to the first tee, 2 men older than us were teeing off and invited Rob to join them. They had a cart and were from Townsville. I caddied for Rob, trying to learn more about this important job. J Anyway, Rob played the first 9 holes and played very well from what I could see and despite Rob and I walking and the other men being in a cart, we had no problems keeping up (and ahead) of them. I left Rob after 9 holes so he could play the 2nd 9 on his own as the other 2 men finished at the 9th. I went to the club rooms and had a coffee out on the deck overlooking a small lake. I read my book and enjoyed the people watching while waiting for Rob. Once Rob had completed his round of golf we decided to head to the “Frosty Mango” for lunch. We had noticed this establishment when we were in this area a few weeks ago. Every time we drove past it, it wasn’t a convenient time to stop for a mango frosty (ice-cream). Today was the ideal day and we had a light lunch that included an ice-cream. We returned to the caravan to do a few jobs.

Happy with the way golf went today, NO 3 putts and 35 points! Also the wildlife wasn’t upset with the way I played either. The roos chose not to move, even when close and the kookaburra watched me tee off and didn’t laugh!!
