During the night the wind really picked up and was still extremely strong when we woke up in the morning. Rob had decided that it was too windy to tackle the golf course at Haliday Bay so we took our time having breakfast and doing some jobs. By about 9am the wind had dropped away and so we decided to head to the golf course. After a bit of a shaky start and a few lost balls in the water, things improved. The course was very pretty with palms everywhere and the sparkling ocean in the background. I walked with Rob for the first 9 holes and left him to finish the back 9 on his own. I went for a walk along the beachfront and then found a quiet spot to sit and read. Once Rob had completed his round we drove to Seaforth, did a little essential shopping and bought some lunch. We explored some more of Seaforth before returning to the caravan. The afternoon was spent with a lovely wander along the beach that is located next to the caravan park.
The golf course is a small 9 hole course with 5 par
4’s and 4 par 3’s. The greens lacked grass and evenness, but fun was had, even
birded 2 holes!!
